I was able to meet Brooklyn Garret at the Powdersville Business Council on July 18th. Brooklyn is a rising senior at West Oak High School. She just competed in the Miss South Carolina Teen Pageant and was 1st runner up to Miss South Carolina Teen. Brooklyn attended Girls state this year and was selected Senator of SC to represent us at Girls Nation. She is in Washington this week and is looking forward to a great week. Brooklyn is an honor student at West Oak and has never missed a day of school. She is not related to me at all, but I am so proud of her. I have worked with the Miss SC Organization for eight years and it is great to work with such outstanding you ladies. Her plans after high school or college with a major in communications and political science. She really enjoyed your talk.
