Just to let y’all know. On election night of 2004, a supporter came up to my wife (Ann) and me. She said “Well now you’re a big Senator man aren’t you?” Ann quickly interrupted and confidently stated: “He’s still plain old Kevin, and he’ll stay that way”. Yes ma’am to that! Evidently, Sen. Barbara Boxer has let her title get to her ego.

Had a great visit with the Anderson County Alternative School on Tuesday (08.30.10) morning. I was impressed with the discipline atmosphere and am sure these young people are gaining self respect.

I was asked a question from a young man: “Are there any education requirements for elected officials.” I thought there were not, but later remembered H. 3536. This bill requires certain education for candidates for coroner. I voted against this bill and supported the Governor’s veto, however, the veto was overridden.

I would rather trust the voter’s disernment as to what they want out of their coroner.
