This week is our yearly trip to Camp Hope to direct games for Teen II. I’ll have access to the internet, but probably won’t have much time to blog, maybe a few twits.
The theme for this week is “Camp Hope Department of Corrections” as David Thorpe and I are in charge of entertaining 120 teenagers.
This will be my 20th week of working at teen camp. Also, this is where I met my wonderful wife, Ann back in 1985 as teenagers.
Camp Hope is a Christian Camp in Dahlonega, Georgia.

Christian Youth Camps, Inc.
At Camp Hope we believe that certain distinctives set us apart from other camping organizations such as Boy Scouts, High Adventure and the YMCA. Our camp is based on some key doctrinal positions that are briefly outlined as follows:
1. The Bible is inspired of God, inerrant in the original document and of final authority in all matters of faith and practice.
2. There is one God, eternally existent in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
3. The Lord Jesus Christ is fully God. He was born of a virgin and is sinlessly perfect. His sacrifice is substitutionary and representative. He rose bodily from the dead and ascended to His Father’s right hand, where He now ministers as our Great High Priest.
4. Each member of the human race is fallen, sinful and lost, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for the salvation of men. Redemption is wholly by the blood of Christ, and salvation is by grace, through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
5. The Church of our Lord Jesus Christ composed of all true believers in the Lord Jesus Christ is one and indivisible.
6. All believers in our Lord Jesus Christ are called into a life of separation to the Lord from worldly and sinful practices and habits.

Good luck at your camp Senator.
Sounds like fun…and a little frightening. Good for you that you can get away from internets and all of the distractions of modern life for this.
Palmetto Conservative certainly needs some reprogramming, but I would not let him near children.
Super blog you’ve got going, here, Senator. You must be so proud of your mouthpiece Palmetto Conservative. What a prince. He’s your kind of guy!
I’m sure children would learn a lot from you about terms like “D Bag” and “tool” and “dick.”
I’m sure you’re a great counsleor.
Palmetto,
Are they going to learn a lot from a guy who uses vulgarity like “B.S.,” tool?
By the way, here is a definition of tool, tool, since you obviously don’t get it: “One who lacks the mental capacity to know he is being used. A fool. A cretin. Characterized by low intelligence and/or self-steem.”
P.S. We are still waiting for your explanation of what it is I wrote that reminded you of pornographic material you are familiar with, tool.
I can’t believe I have been missing all of this action!
Palmetto Con, you and the good senator are lecturing about profanity?? It was the good senator’s profanity that first attracted me to this blog!
Remember, the infamous “a little B.S.” post?
You do not disappoint, Palmetto Con. Your hypocrisy never fails. And now you are working a Jesus camp! Ha ha ha! You are so Jesus-like I can hardly stand it!
And by the way, David, I know you fancy yourself as Jesus-like, and you don’t always pickup on sarcasm. The fact that you are running a Jesus camp, the hypocrisy, is hysterical!
Palmetto D Bag,
How was Jesus Camp? Did you teach them about the stupid, godless, perverted liberals?
I was just re-reading your funny Tea Bag agenda post? and I have to ask again, where were you tea-baggers prior to January of 09? Oh, never mind, I know where you were, you were busy defending every move that W made.
I still don’t believe that your position seeking to dissolve the VA system and Medicare is going to be a politically popular one, but I know that you DeMinters are more concerned with principle than what’s politically popular. Go for it, Jack!
Don’t forget the Obama=Osama anti-American pro-terrorist sweetness that is Bryant. that’s a unique statement if ever I heardone.
