   Although I strongly supported the One Cent Sales Tax for upgrading roads and bridges in Anderson County, a closer look at how our money is being spent on local, state, and federal level has caused me to pause. While much of our funds are being spent on parks to honor a few privileged ones, in addition to unneeded buildings and green spaces, our roads and bridges remain neglected. Raising taxes without controlling spending will simply feed the beast without addressing the needs.
