if i go mac will i come back?

I’m happy to have my red xps back now after 2 weeks of waiting for a back ordered video card. While trying to survive without my tech, I’ve been asking myself: Self, why don’t you consider getting an apple next time you get a computer? I have asked dozens of mac users and have not found one applite that regrets switching over. How bout it? Is there a mac user out there that prefers windows? Sorry B. Gates, but I’m just looking around.

While I’ve never gone Mac, I’d told by many that it’s awesome. Forget spyware, slow connections, and timed out pages. I guess I’m a creature of habit and scared of the unknown so I stay with what I have with all of it’s faults and imperfections even though I know there’s better.

But that’s not entirely true in every circumstance. I am voting Obama.

    Sorry, couldn’t help it.

Apple is great and worth the extra bucks. Plus you can have the best of both worlds with Mac operating and Microsoft Office. While you are at it, I would also suggest the Iphone 3G.

If you a techy don’t even bother with the Mac’s. However if you do a lot of video editing and streaming you might want to consider the Mac.

Also if you use a lot of appilacation software, make sure you purchase a Window’s compatablity tool package.

I am curious, why did you select the wording your title? I hope that this is not another off color allusion. More and more you seen to show you true colors and its not red white and blue.

Macs are worth it. If you own a copy of windows, for $50-75 you can get VMFusion (I think) or Parallels (which is what I use) and run windows on mac (and Apple says it is faster on an intel mac than on a pc). You can load all of your clunky, quirky, negligently constructed windows software on your mac if you want. I go into to Windows for one program that is not available on macs and then quickly get out of Windows. You will be surprised at how easy the switch to Mac is - the mac is intuitive. I have heard that the Apple Store will transfer all of your files from your Windose computer to the new mac, but with just a modicum of computer knowledge you can do this yourself.

As for the techy comment on 09-30-2008 - Mac is built on a Unix framework. It does not get any techy-er than that. You can do everything from the command-line if you want (think DOS but better). Unix shell scripts, etc. Virtually all of the important unix command-line stuff is freely available. Many university scientists use macs because they like the unix background.

Download the free NeoOffice and you get a free office package to replace MS Office! Free upgrades. Freedom. The mac comes with all of the software you will need and most of the rest is freely available on the web.

I am not a gamer, but I am told that many games are not available for the mac. Personally too busy to play the games (other than chess which comes free with the mac).

Take the plunge. The mac is refreshing.
