campaign kick off
On Monday, March 17th we had a great reception at the Corner Bagel Shop to kick off our re-election campaign. Approximately 150 of our supporters were in attendance. Since I became a candidate in 2003, I’ve never seen so much enthusiasm for reform as I witnesses Monday night. Folks are frustrated with our government and are they demanding reform, transparency and accountability. I was also excited to have a surprise appearance by our Congressman, Gresham Barrett (pictured below)! Senator Jim DeMint was not able to attend, but sent an encouraging note as well as Governor Mark Sanford (Click here to see Gov’s letter)

Senator,
Thank you for standing up for conservative values. On many issues I have felt that you truly believe in what you stand for personally and are not just saying what you think the people want to hear. It is clear that the state of SC needs you to be around for many years to come. I appreciate your views even though you are not the Senator for the area I live in now… My heart is in the Upstate. Thank you.

the independent mail blog has dr. marshall meadows running against you. he’s my doctor and i really like him. aren’t you a pharmacist? wouldn’t doctors and pharmacists be friends? do you know him? what is his problem with you?

I can’t speak for his reasons for running, you’d need to check with him. I have known Dr. Meadors for a while - he’s a good doctor.

Dear Kevin,
This was a tremendous first word for us. What a blessing and encouragement to hear your heart for the people of S. C. and America. We need this kind of heart in the political offices where I live in Washington State, and if they are here that they will rise up to the occasion. My prayers are with you. God bless you.

Yes, Mark. God bless Kevin and his racist thoughts. What a good man. Southern Pride!
