You have, in fact, taken money from Howard Rich. Do you think maybe this is something you should know?

To save you a little time, a couple of examples:
123 Lasalle / Howard Rich $9,500
Bradford Mgt / Howard Rich $17,000

AN OPEN LETTER TO THE SCGOP LEADERSHIP
RE: KATON DAWSON & HOWARD RICH
If you are not familiar with Howard Rich, you need to spend time reviewing the information at http://www.howierichexposed.com.
Mr. Katon Dawson has spent the last several years focused exclusively on supporting and promoting the hand-selected candidates of Howard Rich (primarily Sanford, Floyd and Eckstrom). He has not done his job, which is promoting the interests of the SCGOP. Mr. Rich is a Libertarian, and gives millions of dollars to any candidate, in any party, that will push his special interests, which are: promoting tax-limitation and real estate referendums to alter state constitutions that exclusively favor the very wealthy Libertarians (like Rich, Sanford, Floyd, and Eckstrom), and private-school voucher programs, his first step attack at removing education from the responsibility of state government altogether.
Many states have already had local folks, too late unfortunately, form local organizations to fight Howard Rich and his Libertarian attacks on local issues. The reason many long-time SCGOP leaders took the unusual step of publicly supporting the Democratic Governor candidate, myself included, is that we see and understand the long-term danger of the allowing Rich/Sanford/Floyd/Eckstrom to continue to permeate and take over our party. Unfortunately, most SC Republicans don’t realize that our party is being hijacked by the Rich Libertarians (although enough have woken up to defeat Floyd). Your job is to expose it, and to make sure that the leadership of the GOP is focused on electing REAL Republicans, who are focused on the REAL conservative issues that will make SC great.
Think about this. The most popular SC political news website, SChotline.com, is moderated and censored by Joshua Gross, who works for and is paid by Howard Rich. His blog, thebodypolitic (actual web address schotline.blogspot.com) is a mouthpiece for Howard Rich and his Libertarian ideology. Mr. Gross is also heavily involved in both South Carolinians for Responsible Government and SC Club For Growth, both Howard Rich shell organizations formed to skirt SC campaign donation laws. Mr. Rich has successfully positioned his SC mouthpiece, Joshua Gross, as the gatekeeper of political news and ideas in SC.
I’m a long-time Republican, and nobody is paying me. Simply, I’m sick of watching the Libertarians continue to grow on our party, like a cancer, and I decided to do my part to raise the red flag. I’ll continue to do so as long as I’m breathing and Howard Rich and Mark Sanford continue to attack our great state.
All of the above is irrelevant though, to Mr. Dawson’s campaign for a third term. Either he steps aside, which solves the problem, or he runs. If he runs, he is a stone-cold liar, and unfit for the position. In that case, the leadership must throw him out.

Dawson helps candidates that have been chosen in Republican Primaries. Isn’t that what the chairman is supposed to do?

What does Katon Dawson, Howard Rich and the price of tea in China have to do with being an anonymous “Republican” in the upstate.

Hey Upstate Voice,
Opinions are like B^%@ h&%&@ (edited), and you are one of them.
Katon has done more the SCGOP than all other Chairman combined. Republican issues like school choice scare you democrats because it takes money away from your beaurocratic monopolies.
Let’s face it, our schools are failing and it won’t be long until we will be further behind the rest of the world.
President Bush called for more Science and math teachers along with more charter schools in his state of the union address and Anderson School district 5 wants another stupid arts school.
Rarely do you see an arts school graduate promote economic development. Art is nice to look at, but that is about it.
If we don’t give other ideas a chance to work, we will continue to be at the bottom of the education food chain.

Dawson endorsed and promoted various Republican primary candidates (most of whom are really Libertarians) against other Republican primary candidates.
Dawson is a joke. Running an auto parts store may be a good match for his abilities. Running the SCGOP is lightyears over his head.

To answer a few questions:
1-I’ve worked with Katon as county chairman and primary candidate. I’ve only witnessed complete fairness. I’d like to see some proof other than anonymous chatter.
2-I’d be glad to supply a copy of my disclosure to any one. Call me: Cell 864-202-8394
3-Since we’re straying off course from Zell Miller, would ya’ll like me to start new posts on Katon Dawson? Howard Rich? Libertarians? auto parts?

Looks like Howard Rich supports term limits, limited government and school choice. What wrong with that!?!?! Sounds pretty conservative to me.
How often have you seen an individual or corporation give to opposing candidates in the same race?
And by the way, what does it matter who gives to your campaign as long as you are not a “bought” politician? It’s been my experience that Senator Bryant makes his position crystal clear on the issues and cannot be influenced by monetary contributions.

I already know the answer to the question. It’s, of course, public record.
What I’m trying to figure out is, why these guys have such heartburn admitting they take money from Rich.

UV, we’re still trying to figure out why you’re using so many aliases to prop up your losing argument, is it the other voices in your head? Maybe Kevin can help you find a nice doctor that can make them go away…
