The Republican base would really get excited about this candidacy. How would the Libertarians of our country react?

People might would get excited after seeing his picture, hearing his name, and whatever else. But after they heard him speak and fumble his words like he always does ….. none of the troops would want to rally around him

A Sanford run sure would be a big help to McCain. It would save McCain any heartache in a SC primary leftover from a bruising 2000 fight. McCain could go to more suitable states. A Sanford run would save the county parties a lot of cash, also. Primaries do build parties, but GOP in SC is built. The party needs to prevent fractures and infiltration by non-party people. Let the Democrats bring Hillary and Obama in and the GOP can highlight there record.

Sanford will not give a presidential run, however, he will try to place himself to be a potential VP nominee

Expect his Republican primary opponents and the Democrats to hit him a lot harder than Tommy Moore did.
“America’s Worst Governor” is not destined for the White House.

BEWARE!!!!!!
On the webpage entitled “Activism Center” is a link to avoid: \draftsanford-dot-cjb-dot-net/
DO NOT CLICK ON IT!!!
(The “.” has been replaced in the above with “dot”.)
I clicked on it and virus detection warning boxes started popping up on my computer screen from my anti-virus software. They kept popping up and I had to physically disconnect my computer from the internet. When I did a virus scan of my computer, the anti-virus softare had isolated four (4) Trojan Horse viruses.
Oh, and that’s some faithful Republican you are, Senator. Just count the number of times on that website it take a shot at our President. If this is your approach to politics then you are just as self serving as Mark Sanford.

What a joke.
The only reason Mark Sanford is governor of SC is that he took a bunch of his daddy’s and daddy’s cronies money, combined it with a bunch of Howard Rich’s money, and bought the Republican nomination in a state where the Republican couldn’t lose.
Mark Sanford would be chewed up a spit out in about ten seconds on a national stage.
Arrogant. Incompetent. Ineffective. Impotent.

Mr. Moore:
I’m hardcore South Carolina GOP, lifelong. Business leader, community leader.
Mark Sanford got elected by screaming, “Your taxes are too high, and I’ll cut them to the bone. The public schools are evil, and I’ll give you your tax dollars back to put your kids in private school.”
Mark Sanford is not bright, not a problem solver, not a consensus builder, not a leader, and quite frankly, not a likable person at all.
He won on the work of very good state handlers who worked the “cut taxes and give vouchers” angle to perfection, within an(unfortunately) gullible, GOP favoring electorate.
And, most important, he has no clue of the relationship between investment and return. Mark Sanford grew up with a silver spoon. He never had to worry about jobs or education. They were presented to him on a silver platter.
Your story hits all the Sanford handlers’ talking points, especially on his accomplishments (virtually all of which were actually spearheaded by others). However, you failed to mention his abyssmal record on unemployment, wage increases, business development, and real meaningful government reform.
In fairness, how about taking a trip to SC, and talk to some of the folks who really know Mark Sanford.
I think you’d have to retract your story.
