    I consider myself a moderate independent politically, and I was appalled by the Supreme Court’s decision on this case. Greedy private developers have been streaming through the Upstate like a Biblical plague of locusts, and if they are allowed to continue, I fear that decent *affordable* housing will simply cease to exist in the United States of America. This is an issue around which Americans of *all* political persuasions need to rally. Beyond the housing issue, is the issue of constitutional rights - which are being stolen away from us slowly but surely.

    If legislation is not passed, no one’s property is safe (unless it’s one of the Justices). I’d like to see someone condemn and acquire the property of any of them.

    Andre Bauer was paid substantially more than originally offered because he has the knowledge and resources that the Average Joe does not have.
